Paola Yanez, FNP-C
A Chicago native who spent 25 years working as a Registered Nurse, Paola Yanez returned to school after raising her children, earned a Family Nurse Practitioner Master’s Degree, and has made Southern California her home in her role as part of the Cucamonga Valley Medical Group team.
Ms. Yanez, 49, earned her BSN from the University of Illinois in Chicago. This led to the first chapter of her career as a RN. She and her husband of 25 years have three children, two currently of college age and one in high school.
Her family moved in 1995 from Chicago to Southern California, her husband’s native home.
Recognizing a need for primary care providers in the region, and with her children nearing adulthood, Ms. Yanez earned her FNP Master’s Degree from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2020.
She is a member of the California Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Ms. Yanez, who also speaks Spanish, appreciates the opportunity to assist patients from pediatric through geriatric age groups.
Among her hobbies are reading and knitting. She enjoys music and is a pet-lover, with a soft spot for dogs and cats.
Ms. Yanez speaks English and Spanish.
