CVMG Team Walked the Walk in February!

The Cucamonga Valley Medical Group team took some big steps throughout the month of February as part of the Walking to Wellness Challenge.

Actually, CVMG had 59 participants combine to walk 8,900,594 steps in 28 days of February! That’s an average of 8,735 steps a day per walker in the nearly five-week program!

Everyone who participated in the Walk to Wellness is a winner, and CVMG awarded more than $400 in prizes. Of course, some walkers put up pretty special numbers:

  • Casandra Tinoco was the steps winner after walking 782,083 steps in 28 days, an average of 27,932 steps a day.
  • Yumi Wong had 465,903 steps in 28 days, an average of 16,639.
  • Irma Torres had 440, 296 steps in 28 days, an average of 15,725.
  • Dr. Jesse Dominguez had 386,240 steps in 25 days, an average of 15,450 steps.
  • Brooke Barber packed a lot of steps into 19 days – 391,496 — an average of 20,605 a day.

Weekly Challenge winners included: Marisol Bonilla, first sign up; Chris Baca, 5,000 steps; Marissa Garcia, promoting personal wellness; Yumi Wong, nomination of a motivational CVMG team member; and Rose Franco, workout video.

Yesenia Farias was the completion winner, with 168,631 steps in 28 days, a 6,023 average. Irma Torres, Monica Cuevas and Teresa Perez were raffle winners.
