Freedom from Smoking Clinic

An educational event focused on smoking cessation to help you live a healthy, smoke-free life.

CVMG is pleased to introduce our Freedom from Smoking Clinic.  This addition to The CVMG Health and Wellness Resource Center brings a new and important component of healthy living education options for a healthier you and a healthier family.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) cigarette smoking is the leading cause of preventable disease, disability, and death in the United States. In fact, it accounts for more than 480,000 deaths each year.

At Cucamonga Valley Medical Group, we’re focused on you and your family and we make your health our top priority.

Our team of providers and educators are committed to providing patients with the necessary resources to make positive changes so they can experience life, love and compassion.

American Lung Association

Research has shown that people who participate in Freedom From Smoking are six times more likely to be smoke-free one year later than those who quit on their own.

Adults 18 and older who smoke and are interested in quitting to improve their own health and the health of those around them are welcome to join this quarterly class series that consists of eight, one hour sessions that are available in English only.

The Freedom from Smoking Clinic is an accredited program led by Mary Perry, MD, MPH, who is a certified Freedom From Smoking facilitator through the American Lung Association.

During these sessions, participants will:

  • Pick a “Quit Day” and then create a personalized plan
  • Build effective strategies to manage stress, avoid weight gain, and stay active
  • Connect with other people who are going through the same experience
  • And much more!

Start Date : Thursday, April 8th, 2021

End Date : Thursday, May 27th, 2021
